Biography

Colourful showman Peter Wright – famously nicknamed “Snakebite” – is one of darts’ most decorated players and biggest characters.

After a memorable run to the World Championship final in 2014, the flamboyant Scot claimed his first major title at the 2017 UK Open. He went on to fulfil his dream by lifting the World Championship in 2020 and again in 2022, while also capturing titles at the World Matchplay, Players Championship Finals and World Cup of Darts.

Wright reached world number one in 2022 and, with his ever-changing hairstyles and darts setup, remains a perennial contender on the circuit, amassing over a dozen TV titles in a glittering career.
