The final eight battle it out for the right to claim the 2024 Cazoo Masters title in Milton Keynes on Sunday.
The annual invitational started out with 24 of the world’s top players on Friday, now just eight remain in contention for the £65,000 top prize at the Marshall Arena.
Day Three sees the Quarter-Finals contested in the afternoon, before the Semi-Finals and final take centre stage in the evening session.
Michael van Gerwen resumes his quest for a record-extending sixth Masters title with a clash against two-time finalist Dave Chisnall.
Van Gerwen opened his account for the new season by winning the Dutch Masters on home soil in Den Bosch a week ago, but a disastrous deciding leg resulted in a 6-5 defeat to Michael Smith in his Premier League opener in Cardiff on Thursday.
However, he bounced back by thrashing defending champion Chris Dobey 10-4 on Saturday and is bidding for a first Masters title since 2019.
Chisnall, runner-up here in 2016 and 2022, produced the stand-out performance of the opening round as he averaged 109.3 in a 6-1 rout of Martin Schindler with six 180s to his name.
The world number ten followed that up with a hard-fought 10-8 win over Danny Noppert and is now eyeing a third straight success over MVG, having previous lost 11 on the spin.
Former Masters champion Peter Wright looks to reach the Semi-Finals of this event for the fifth time in his last six appearances when he faces in-form Stephen Bunting.
A struggling Snakebite had won just two of his eight televised matches coming into The Masters, but staved off a late fightback from Krzysztof Ratajski to seal a 10-8 victory on Saturday.
Wright, however, has failed to average above 94 in each of his last nine televised matches and runs into an opponent in arguably the best sustained form of his career so far.
Bunting is through to the Quarter-Finals of this event for only the second time in six attempts after coming from 5-2 down to edge out Ross Smith in a deciding leg, before sending home world number one Luke Humphries after a 10-7 victory in the Last 16.
The Bullet is vying to claim his first televised silverware since joining the PDC a decade ago, having never been beyond the Semi-Final stage so far.
Meanwhile, World Matchplay champion Nathan Aspinall takes on fellow two-time major winner Daryl Gurney.
Aspinall has won two of five matches contested in the early stages of the season, having recovered from his defeat to Gerwyn Price on Night One of the Premier League by overcoming a struggling Dirk van Duijvenbode with an average of just 86.6.
The Asp reached the Semi-Finals on his Masters debut in 2020 and will fancy his chances of equalling that run in an open top half of the draw.
Gurney is making his sixth Masters appearance after receiving a late call-up following Price’s withdrawal, and the world number 26 took full advantage by defeating 2022 champion Joe Cullen 10-8 in Round Two.
The final match of the afternoon sees former World Matchplay champion Dimitri Van den Bergh come up against his former housemate Damon Heta.
Van den Bergh punished an uncharacteristic 6% on the doubles and 84 average from James Wade to seal a 6-1 demolition in Round One, before dumping out Thursday’s Premier League Night One winner Michael Smith 10-6 courtesy of a host of clutch finishes.
Australian number one Heta is also appearing at this stage of the competition for the first time following impressive wins over Gabriel Clemens and Rob Cross with averages of 103 and 102.7 respectively.
The action gets under way from 12.45pm GMT, with Quarter-Final ties to be contested over the best of 19 legs and Semi-Finals and final best of 21.
