Players Championship 2023 Event 30 | Draw and Latest Results
The draw for Players Championship 30 has been confirmed, with 128 players competing in Barnsley on Thursday.
Prize money will stand at £100,000, with all winnings counting towards the PDC Order of Merit and Players Championship Order of Merit.
Following Players Championship 30, the top 64 players on the Players Championship Order of Merit will form the field for next month’s Finals in Minehead.
As it stands, Peter Wright, Mensur Suljovic, Mervyn King, Ricky Evans and Alan Soutar are among those outside of the provisional qualification places.
It is also the final opportunity for players to book their place at the World Championship via the ProTour Order of Merit, with the likes of Maik Kuivenhoven, Martijn Kleermaker, Jamie Hughes, Scott Waites and Soutar aiming to break into the Ally Pally spots.
Wednesday’s field is headed by world number one and World Champion Michael Smith, who is joined by former World Champions including Wright, Rob Cross and Raymond van Barneveld.
Dave Chisnall, Chris Dobey, James Wade, Joe Cullen, Jonny Clayton and Gian van Veen are among the other notable names vying for glory.
Gary Anderson, Gerwyn Price and Michael van Gerwen have withdrawn from Players Championship 30 and have been replaced by Dom Taylor, Danny Lauby and Scott Mitchell.
Play commences at 1pm GMT, with all matches up to and including the Quarter-Finals to be contested over the best of 11 legs, while Semi-Finals are best of 13 and the final is best of 15.
