European Darts Matchplay 2023 | Draw, Live Scores and Schedule of Play
European Tour action continues with the 2023 European Darts Matchplay, and you can follow the latest results and schedule of play here.
The tenth of 13 Euro Tour events this season features 48 players battling it out for £175,000 in prize money at the Trier Arena in Germany from June 30 to July 2.
The top 16 players from the ProTour Order of Merit (as of April 4) are seeded and enter at the Second Round stage, while 32 qualifiers battle it out for the right to join them.
The unseeded players are made up of 24 Tour Card Holder Qualifiers, the two highest placed German players of the Order of Merit, two Host Nation Qualifiers, two Associate Member qualifiers, a Nordic & Baltic qualifier and an East European qualifier.
Luke Humphries is the defending champion after he defeated Rowby-John Rodriguez 8-7 in last year’s final.
Top seed Humphries is vying to reach his fifth European Tour final of the season, having finished runner-up four times so far this year.
Dirk van Duijvenbode is the number two seed, while third seed Dave Chisnall is chasing his third Euro Tour title of the campaign.
Michael van Gerwen, Michael Smith, Jonny Clayton and Rob Cross are eyeing their second Euro Tour silverware of the season, while Gerwyn Price and Peter Wright are among the notable absentees.
Nathan Aspinall and Josh Rock and Dimitri van den Bergh are also among the seeds, while notable qualifiers include Raymond van Barneveld, Jose De Sousa, James Wade and Simon Whitlock.
Following this weekend’s event, the top 16 players on the PDC Order of Merit will join the next 16 highest ranked players from the ProTour Order of Merit in the draw for the World Matchplay.
All matches up to and including the Quarter-Finals are to be contested over the best of 11 legs, with Semi-Finals best of 13 and the final best of 15.
