PDC Order of Merit following the Autumn Series: Heta and De Sousa among big movers
Damon Heta has climbed 36 places in the PDC Order of Merit following a landmark Autumn Series campaign, while Jose De Sousa has also made further inroads.
Heta, the reigning Brisbane Masters champion, picked up his first PDC ranking title in Event Two of the Autumn Series in Niederhausen before reaching the Quarter-Finals the following day.
The Australian ace racked up £13,250 in total across the five days, finishing fourth on the Autumn Series Order of Merit and securing a place in November’s Grand Slam.
Heta is now up to a career-high 80th on the main PDC Order of Merit, with only the power to add over the next 15 months, having secured his Tour Card at the beginning of this year.
Portugal’s De Sousa continues to go from strength-to-strength and has climbed a further six places to 43rd after picking up £8,000 in prize money during the Autumn Series.
In the top 16, World Matchplay champion Dimitri van den Bergh is up one place to eleventh, leapfrogging Ian White, while Krzysztof Ratajski has climbed above Mensur Suljovic into 14th.
Chris Dobey has risen one place to 18th, with Mervyn King up two places to 25th and World Youth Champion Luke Humphries having climbed three places to enter the world’s top 32 for the first time.
Darren Webster drops three places to 35th, with James Wilson falling four places to 46th and Kyle Anderson slipping to 48th after missing the Autumn Series.
Devon Petersen, who enjoyed a superb run to a final and hit a nine-darter in a blistering week of form, climbs one place to 51st.
