Ladbrokes Masters Darts 2022 Draw | Clayton to face Van den Bergh or White

The draw for the 2022 Ladbrokes Darts Masters has been confirmed as the world’s top 24 players head to Milton Keynes.

The season-opening invitational will feature the sport’s top stars in action at the Marshall Arena, with the First Round on Friday January 28 featuring players ranked 9-24 in the PDC Order of Merit.

Players ranked 1-8 will enter the tournament at the Second Round stage on Saturday January 29, with the event concluding on Sunday January 30 with the Quarter-Finals in the afternoon session and the Semi-Finals and final in the evening.

Jonny Clayton is the defending champion after he claimed the title for the first time 12 months ago, and the Welshman will await the winner of the First Round tie between former World Matchplay champion Dimitri van den Bergh and Stoke star Ian White.

Peter Wright marks the start of his spell as two-time World Champion with a clash against either Dirk Van Duijvenbode or Simon Whitlock – who replaces Danny Noppert in the field.

World number one Gerwyn Price faces either 2014 finalist Mervyn King or debutant Ryan Searle, while former semi-finalist Nathan Aspinall takes on debutant Luke Humphries for the right to meet five-time Masters Champion Michael van Gerwen in Round Two.

World Championship semi-finalist Gary Anderson will start out against either Joe Cullen or Daryl Gurney, while St Helens stars Dave Chisnall and Stephen Bunting go head-to-head for the right to play 2014 champion James Wade.

European Champion Rob Cross faces world number 23 Brendan Dolan, with Premier League finalist Jose de Sousa awaiting the winner.

Krzysztof Ratajski and Gabriel Clemens collide for the right to take on two-time World Championship runner-up Michael Smith.
