We pick out a double on Friday that help boost your betting balance ahead of a big weekend of European Championship darts.
It was an interesting opening night at the European Championships in Germany with Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld cruising through, along with our bet of the night Simon Whitlock. Unfortunately, Peter Wright let down our treble but James Wade and Robert Thornton winning gave us hope ahead of day two.
This evening we’re going to go for one bet, a double, from the live action at the European Championships and we’ll be sticking with experience and going with high profile players to shine on the big stage:
1. Andy Hamilton to beat Terry Jenkins
Andy Hamilton is a former World Championship finalist and has been a regular in the Premier League in recent seasons. The Hammer has gone toe-to-toe with the very best in the world on a regular basis and has never been disgraced. He’s playing at his usual high standard this season and his scoring power should be too much for Terry Jenkins tonight. The Bull has been going the wrong way for quite some time and he’s now living off reputation rather than results. Expect Hamilton to inflict some damage this evening.
2. Kevin Painter to beat John Part
If we were going for ‘real’ experience then we’d have to pick John Part to beat Kevin Painter tonight but that would be a foolish bet. Darth Maple may be a World Champion but the game has passed him by somewhat in recent years. He doesn’t play with the same regularity as some of the other players on tour and his results are up and down to say the least. Kevin Painter isn’t having his best season but The Artist is sitting just outside of the top 10 and looks primed for some big results. He should be able to take care of Part tonight and start his run here in German.
Where to bet
Backing Hamilton and Painter in a double this evening returns odds of 2/1 with William Hill
, who are top price on the pair. That should be more than enough of a return to pay for a few beers ahead of Saturday’s action packed schedule!
