Lesson 1: Stance & Posture

In a brand new series of Live Darts TV, former Players Champion and World Cup of Darts finalist Paul Nicholson brings you a selection of exclusive masterclass videos to help take your game to the next level.

Have you ever wanted to be better than your pub team and move to the next level? Or are you just trying to become the best player on your team? Or perhaps you are new to the game and just starting out? Either way you are now in the right place to begin the journey on how to become a better dart player.

This series of videos focuses on the key areas of the game, from stance and eye domination to grip, release and practice routines, as well as covering important aspects within the mental side of the sport.

Each episode features expert advice from ‘The Asset’ – who regularly analyses matches for various TV and radio stations and has an extensive knowledge drawn upon from a decade of competing at the highest level.

Lesson One: Posture & Stance
A run through of the basics of how to stand while throwing your darts. In lesson one, Paul will show you the best way to approach and stand at the oche.

This ranges from front and back leg position to staying still and adopting the correct body posture. This will give you the fundamentals of the base you need to play darts.

“What we want people to do is have a solid base with the stance and make sure that we can do something with it to make sure that there’s no injuries because you’re going to be throwing a lot of darts,” Paul explains.
