European Tour action resumes with the 2023 Hungarian Darts Trophy, and we’ve picked out our best betting tips for each day.
The penultimate Euro Tour event of the season features 48 players battling it out for £175,000 in prize money at the BOK Sportcsarnok in Budapest from September 22-24.
The top 16 players from the ProTour Order of Merit (as of August 15) are seeded and enter at the Second Round stage, while 32 qualifiers battle it out for the right to join them.
The unseeded players are made up of 24 Tour Card Holder Qualifiers, the highest ranking Hungarian player, three Host Nation Qualifiers, two Associate Member qualifiers, a Nordic & Baltic qualifier and an East European qualifier.
Joe Cullen claimed the title in 2022 courtesy of a dominant 8-2 victory over William O’Connor in the final.
Cullen is among a star-studded field which also includes top seed Dave Chisnall – winner of two Euro Tour titles this year, second seed Damon Heta and third seed Luke Humphries.
Michael Smith, Gerwyn Price, Michael van Gerwen, Dirk van Duijvenbode, Jonny Clayton, Rob Cross and Nathan Aspinall are also among the seeded contingent.
Qualifiers include ten-time major winner James Wade, European Champion Ross Smith, Gabriel Clemens, Daryl Gurney and Gian van Veen.
