Cameron Menzies occupies top spot in the PDC Challenge Tour Order of Merit ahead of the final quartet of events in September.

Menzies, 30, claimed the Challenge Tour event 13 title in Wolverhampton on Saturday to add to his initial triumph back in May, and also finished runner-up in last month's event 11.

The Scot tops the Order of Merit after 16 of 20 events with a £150 cushion over nearest challenger Jesus Noguera.

As it stands, Menzies is in line to secure a place in December's William Hill World Championship, while the top two in the Order of Merit crucially receive a two-year PDC Tour Card.

Spain's Noguera stormed to victory in event 15, recording back-to-back ton-plus averages in the Semi-Finals and final, having also picked up a title in May.

Players ranked 3-8 in the final Order of Merit will receive free entry into next January's PDC Qualifying School, while the top eight are also guaranteed a place in the 2020 UK Open.

Stephen Burton, a winner of two Challenge Tour events this year, sits in third position and £500 adrift of Menzies, followed by Russia's Boris Koltsov and emerging star Callan Rydz - who claimed the event 16 title.

Former professional Andy Jenkins is tied in fifth spot with Rydz, while Ritchie Edhouse and Patrick Lynskey follow in seventh and eighth respectively.

The likes of New Zealand's Cody Harris, Dutch ace Berry van Peer and Andrew Gilding are among the chasing pack, while former UK Open finalists Wes Newton and Colin Osborne and chasing a place in the top 32.

The top 32 UK-based players on the Order of Merit at the time of that entry deadline will be eligible to enter the next applicable UK European Tour qualifiers.

Challenge Tour events 17, 18, 19 and 20 will take place from September 28-29 at the Robin Park Arena in Wigan.
