The U.S. Darts Masters is a brand new invitational event as part of the PDC's World Series of Darts, which will be held at the Tropicana Casino Hotel Resort in Las Vegas.
Having been a frequent stop on the tour courtesy of the Las Vegas Desert Classic from 2002 to 2009, Darts returns to the City of Lights with eight of the world's top players face off against North American challengers as the popularity of the sport continues to grow.
The likes of reigning World champion and world number one Michael van Gerwen will be on display at the event, along with Gary Anderson and Phil Taylor, who will be challenged by the eight local hopefuls that come through two days of qualifying in order to compete.
Las Vegas in the latest addition to the popular World Series, where there will also be events in Dubai, Australia, New Zealand and Asia during the 2017 season.
PDC chairman Barry Hearn said: "The World Series of Darts has been a hugely exciting concept since we first introduced events in Dubai and Sydney four years ago, and the 2017 U.S. Darts Masters will be a thrilling championship.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for darts players from North America to compete against the biggest and best names in darts - and for fans worldwide this event gives them the chance to enjoy a great event in the entertainment capital of the world!"
The inaugural World Series event will run over the weekend of July 14-15 at the Tropicana Casino Hotel Resort in Las Vegas.
