In total, 146 players will toe the oche on opening night in Bolton, all hoping to get their name in the hat for the coveted third round draw alongside the top 32 seeds at the end of the night.

Play is spread across eight boards, with matches played simultaneously throughout the night, starting with the Preliminary Round, followed by rounds one and two.

PDC newcomer Tony raises the curtain on the tournament as he debutises against Rileys qualifier Michael Burgoine on the main stage.

Former World Champion Steve Beaton faces John Jukes, before young sensation Arron Monk faces a tricky test over the short format against Paul Boulton.

Steve 'Bomber' Brown takes on the experienced Michael Barnard, before young Dutchman Gino Vos plays Paul Harvey.

The main event of the preliminary round features the eagerly awaited PDC televised debut of Ted Hankey against the little known Danny Dutson.

Arguably the biggest name to be competing at the Preliminary round stage, all eyes will be on Hankey as he looks to come through a potentially tricky tie unscathed and avoid the ultimate embarrassment.

The first round follows the completion of the prelims and features former European Championship Finalist Wayne Jones and highly rated Durham youngster Adam Hunt among the notable names in action.

Paul Nicholson begins his campaign against either Harry Miles or Andy Melling; The Asset will be hoping to repeat his superb run last year which saw him beat the likes of Phil Taylor and Gary Anderson.

A host of familiar names enter the fray at the second round stage in front of the TV cameras on board one, with a potentially tight encounter between Mark Hylton and Spain's number one Antonio Alcinas kicking off proceedings.

James Wade begins the defence of his title against one of four potential opponents, two of which include England internationals Glen Durrant and Stephen Bunting.

The Machine will be hoping to ensure his name goes into the hat for the third round draw by coming through a pressure game over a potentially sticky quick-fire format.

Welsh left-hander Mark Webster faces Johnny Haines, while James Richardson appears in a TV major for the first time since his World Championship heroics as he takes on dangerous Scotsman Jim Walker to round off the night.

All matches on board one will be streamed live over the best of seven legs from the Reebok Stadium, Bolton.

The draw for the third round will be conducted on stage following the final second round match of the night and will see the 32 remaining players from the opening night join the top 32 seeds to make up the last 64.
