The Power rounds off the evening against either Haruki Muramatsu or Dennis Nilsson, but will not know his opponent until a few hours before he takes to the stage.

Taylor was in the same position last year, but he had no problem in seeing off American Gary Mawson.

The Power will look to put his 2010 Quarter-Final heartbreak behind him and is in rampant form going into the game.

He has picked up the World Matchplay, European Championship, World Grand Prix and Grand Slam titles in recent months and will be out to add the biggest of all - the World Championship to that list come January.

The Stoke sensation is EVS to win the title and will be looking to justify that by sending out a message to the field with a good performance tonight.

He will take on either Japanese star Haruki Muramatsu, who featured in last year's event, or Dennis Nilsson, a former world's strongest man from Sweden.

Whoever he faces, The Power will be huge favourite and should see off his opponent with relative ease over a longer format.

The match gets underway at 10.45pm and will be streamed live over the best of five sets from the Alexandra Palace, London.
