The Machine has seemingly gone under the radar in the competition so far and will be out to put his Ally Pally demons to bed by reaching the Semi-Finals for only the second time today.

Wade has proven his calibre as one of darts' top stars, winning seven major PDC titles, but faces a tough test against Canadian legend John Part this afternoon.

Darth Maple, a three time winner of this event, will be full of confidence going into the match, having seen off Kevin Painter in a thriller yesterday.

He continues to climb back up the rankings and will no doubt have his sights set on a fourth world title should he upset Wade today.

Both players are renowned for their clinical finishing and heavy scoring, which should make for a close game as the format increases.

The bookmakers make Wade the favourite to progress, priced at 4/11, with Part offering value at 5/2 with Ladbrokes.

The duo have met just once in major competition since 2009, with Wade defeating Part 6-3 in a Players Championship event in Barnsley back in June.

Their latest encounter gets underway at 3.45pm and will be streamed live over the best of nine sets from the Alexandra Palace, London.
