Sixty-four of the game's top stars will once again head to Germany to compete for £82,100 in prize money early next month and the first round draw has produced a number of interesting ties.

Two of the tour's hottest properties will collide as twice European Tour finalist Dave Chisnall takes on Belgium's Kim Huybrechts.

Bad boy Paul Nicholson looks to get back on track this season as he takes on PDC newcomer Dean Winstanley, a man hoping to build on his landmark World Matchplay campaign.

Phil Taylor, who picked up the German Championship title recently, faces a tough test against the experienced Andy Jenkins, while European Darts Open champion Raymond van Barneveld comes up against 2005 world finalist Mark Dudbridge.

World Champion Adrian Lewis is another big name to feature in the event and he opens up against UK qualifier Darren Johnson.

World Matchplay runner-up James Wade and Simon Whitlock are also in action on the main stage against European qualifiers Kurt Van De Rijck and Tonci Restovic respectively, as Vincent van der Voort, Mark Webster and Terry Jenkins all face home opposition in Maik Langendorf, Andree Welge and Tomas Seyler.

The tournament runs from September 7-9 at the Glaspalast in Sindelfingen, Stuttgart, with all matches played over the best of 11 legs. The event is non-televised but is however open to the public, with another bumper German crowd expected.
