Reigning world champion Adrian Lewis continues the defence of his coveted world darts title against Robert Thornton in round two this evening.

Jackpot stumbled over the line against Nigel Heydon in his opener, coming from 2-0 down to win 3-2 in a tie break with an under par performance.

The Stoke ace will be hoping to send out a message with a more convincing performance tonight.
 
He faces Robert Thornton; 'The Thorn' has recaptured something like his old form on the big stage after his first round victory.
 
Lewis is big odds to prevail over the long format and should have little problem seeing off the Scot should he bring his power scoring and top finishing ability.

He is priced at 1/7 with title sponsors Ladbrokes, as opposed to Thornton at 9/2.

The pair in the last 16 of this event last year, in a high quality game which saw Lewis prevail 4-1 en route to picking up the title.

Their latest meeting gets underway at 8.30pm and will be streamed live over the best of seven sets from the Alexandra Palace, London.
