The PDC newcomer enjoyed a dream debut in Blackpool as he put out Scotland's number one Anderson in a tie break.

The Yorkshireman trailed 5-0 early on after a nightmare start on the doubles, but battled back to force a tie break at 9-9 with a sensational 82 finish on the bull.

He then held his nerve to win the all-important 24th leg to seal arguably the most satisfying win of his career to date.
